Planted Height approx 1350mm.  Planted Weight approx 80 kilos.  These Slate planters by Iota are made from solid slate with warm bronze and coppery coloured tones.  The planters are extremely strong and are designed to stand the test of time. The look is natural but smart and with its simple form the planters work equally well in both traditional and contemporary settings.   Slate has a naturally uneven surface with differences in tone and texture that mean each piece is individual. The Ilex Aquifolium (also known as English Holly) can tolerate either sun or shade. Although semi-shade is preferable in midsummer, the more light it has the more dense its foliage will be. Holly requires well-drained, slightly acid, fertile soil.   If pruning becomes necessary, do it in early spring before new growth begins, trimming towards a symmetrical shape.
