The pale cream and sand shades in the marble are threaded through with delicate grey veins, which add interest and signal that this is unmistakeably real stone. The Ilex Aquifolium (also known as English Holly) can tolerate either sun or shade. Although semi-shade is preferable in midsummer, the more light it has the more dense its foliage will be. Holly requires well-drained, slightly acid, fertile soil.   If pruning becomes necessary, do it in early spring before new growth begins, trimming towards a symmetrical shape.
